We are seeking an Admissions Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalized, one-on-one consultations to prospective students exploring our Doctor of Medicine (MD) and PreMed programs. Your responsibilities will include assessing each applicant’s academic background and career goals, offering tailored guidance, and evaluating student readiness for medical education. As an Admissions Advisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping future physicians by helping students confidently navigate their medical education journey.
• Daily correspondence via telephone and email with prospective students.
• Identify and understanding student needs via one-to-one consultation.
• Provide a consultative service to all students, assessing requirements and making recommendations in line with individual needs.
• Serve as coach and mentor, guiding students through the MD application process, helping them strengthen their candidacy, and ensuring they are well-prepared at each stage.
• Work with prospective students, applicants, and their families to provide high-quality advising on admission requirements, academic programs, and student life.
• Manage student applications from original inquiry through to application and support post application processes.
• Maintain a conversion rate on all types of inquiries from lead to a pre-evaluation, pre-screen to application, and application to enrollment.
• Provide effective and professional written and oral communication with all prospective students.
• Manage a database (CRM) of inquiries and leads, recording all activity, student profiles, contact history and decisions and outcomes.
• Meet and exceed annual, monthly, and quarterly starts, referrals, targets, and objectives as per tenure expectations.
To be successful in the Program Advisor position, the individual must possess:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in consultative sales.
• A strong understanding of the North American education and healthcare systems.
• Experience recruiting domestic students (preferred).
• An undergraduate degree (preferred), with familiarity in science-based undergraduate programs considered an asset.
• Experience with target, quota and KPI environment.
• Proven success in consultative sale and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process.
• Ability to serve as an effective academic coach, supporting students through complex, competitive application processes.
• Independent worker and able to work develop personalized business strategies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong proficiency in English.
